No Phone!?!
Leina had a nice time in Detroit, but she's unable to communicate to anyone about it, since she left her phone cord there! This mini-tragedy is softened somewhat by the fact that she does, from time to time, email, and has been able to notify some of her friends via her computer about the problem.
Liane is sending out the cord FedEx, but Leina requests that those in desparate need of hearing her voice call the home phone because all her numbers are trapped in her simcard in her batteryless phone. The rest of us can hopefully sit tight until Wednesday and join the queue when she finally gets her juice back.

i was wondering why i haven't heard anything about her trip!
i completely forgot about her cell phone charger until early tuesday morning. express mail (1-2 day service) at $14.05 was too costly so i chose first class mail (5-7 days) at $.85. she should be up and running by monday, jul 24. sorry leina.
Wow, making her wait up to six days to save $13. That's almost $2 a day. The larger question looms--would famously cheap Leina have been willing to pay that price to restore her lifeline?
It was LEINA'S decision to use the cheaper service. She is still the champion of penny pinching.
it's wednesday night and i just checked www.usps.com for the status of leina's charger. it's on a postal truck in wisconsin.
Leina never ceases to surprise us! I'm shocked she didn't spring for the phone talkability. That's awesome it's in Wisconsin. Means it's only a four-day drive away!
Ah-hah! I had to go through my emails to find this link just so I can keep up with your life!
