The End?

So after 202 posts, hours of entertainment for a select few, and many, many, rides to the airport, Leina's Life may have gone on permanent hiatus. Not that Leina's life has gone on hiatus--she's still driving to Pinole for some coworker's birthday party or down to Foster City to hang out with Charles or the Oakland airport at 1:30 in the morning to pick up Auntie and drop her off in Marin (to Auntie's credit, she did thank Leina profusely and made a comment along the lines of "I'm your slave this week" upon being picked up).

Perhaps Leina has gotten more boring as, since this blog began, she has gotten a job and her diploma and a boyfriend, and can no longer devote so much time towards doing favors for her freinds and family.

Leina is still obsessing about how and when to get new windows in her house, whether to hire an archictect and it she does to get a deck installed in her backyard, and how to knock out a wall between her kitchen and dining room. But she is not obsessing about her thesis, about finding a job, about looking for love, or about providing an unreasonable amount of free babysitting.

But things have not changed that much. She still works a few hours a month for Mr. Turner and still gives up her free time now and then to do free babysitting, and, yes, she is teaching obon again this year.

Tomorrow, Tony is moving away to Wisconsin, and though he will still be able to keep tabs on Leina more or less as well as he does now, Tony will also not have as much free time to keep up the painstaking research necessary to maintain the high standards of this blog, for he's going back to school himself.

If anyone would like to take the helm of this ship, he is accepting requests. Many thanks to those who have read, and those who have commented. And one never knows, perhaps Leina's Life will make a comeback.
