Leina is a good host. If you come to her house, she will always make tea. She has many tea sets, though it is uncertain how many of the tea sets in her posession are in the tea serving rotation and how many are trapped on the top shelves of her cabinets, gathering that greasy dust that kitchens that are actually cooked in accumulate over time.
The tea that she will serve you is generally good. However, occasionally she will make you tea but fail to tell you that she is making you tea, and when you are ready to go, you notice a cup of cold tea on the table.
"Was that for me?" you ask, and sure enough, it was.

Yes, I agree Leina is a wonderful hostess. My question to all, does she serve her friends tea in a styrofoam cup and label the name with a black sharpie pen??? (or is it me?) Did you know Leina travels with packing tape and sharpie pens? Back to the point, Leina is the most considerate hostess but I dont want her to serve others on plasticware. I know.. I know I live in Marin.
To whom it may concern:
please change the picture of Leina (the one with her hair matted down and wearing the pink dress) not flattering at all. just weird.
Thanks AE
aunty...i made the same complaint of the picture a few days ago. even leina's brother-in-law, andy, made a comment. i guess, the person who is in charge of the picture has life unlike us.
one time she served me sapporo beer in a styrofoam cup.
If you look closely at the picture, not only do you see my jaw, you see the bottom half of roommate Angie's face! How would one have known, three years ago when the picture was taken, that three people whose lives would be so intricately linked in the future, would be captured in such a small frame? And anyways I don't have any better pictures of Leina on my computer.
i have had tea at leina's on numerous occasions, but never served in styrofoam cups. i'm actually surprised to learn that she uses styrofoam at all. seems wasteful.
i also vote to nix the weird picture of leina. the shi-shi time picture is much better.
when you keep a blog of Leina's life, you can choose whatever picture of her you like.
Andy, did she put your name on the cup with the Sharpie pen? Not any old pen. Must be a Sharpie.

aunty evelyn aka kiyan aunty. stop repeating yourself. you are scaring me.
Dear Jennifer,
I was in a hurry and clicked the "publish your comment" twice. No way am I as nutty as that Hawaiian Aunty. I am known to repeat my stories but I am not wacky and nutty.
I think we may have to vote whether you are like kiyan aunty. leina what is your vote? noriko? jun? yumi? hiroki? we won't ask uncle norihiko since he will politely vote no.
my vote is yes.
my vote is yes
our vote is no.
Maybe Auntie Evelyn needs her own blog where everyone can discuss her life! For the record, I think she is more like the Hawaiian Auntie than she'd like to admit.
